Junk food chain donated $1.6 million to a business having a “sexual purity” policy that bans “homosexual functions”

If you’re still frequently consuming at Chick-fil-A — or recently returned, thinking it absolutely was ok to accomplish therefore — right here’s some food for idea: the fast-food string continues to donate millions to anti-LGBTQ teams.

According to Think Progress, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, the fast-food chain’s charitable supply, donated significantly more than $1.8 million to 3 anti-LGBTQ teams in 2017.

The sum that is largest, $1.6 million, decided to go to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a spiritual company that will require its users to stick to a “sexual purity” policy that outlaws “homosexual acts.”

$150,000 was handed towards the Salvation Army, that has always been at odds with LGBTQ liberties, including saying they don’t discriminate against hiring LGBTQ individuals while also fighting against laws and regulations that will avoid them from discriminating against LGBTQ people.

A 3rd contribution of $6,000 was presented with towards the Paul ru brides Anderson Youth Residence, a “Christian domestic house for difficult teenage boys,” but which reportedly shows that being homosexual is incorrect and same-sex wedding is against “Jesus Christ and their values.”
